They design and manufacture machinery on-site for companies are all over the world, and this role is an integral and essential part of the process leading and coordinating the warehouse, packaging and despatch team, ensuring daily/weekly targets are met. ResponsibilitiesTeam Leader This is a brand new role that has been created for the company from their growth and success. Leading and coordinating a team of up to 6 staff members in the warehouse, packaging and despatch department. This role is hands on (approx. 50/50 split from management to hands on) and requires daily packing (spares & systems) activities as well as leading the team and department accordingly.Lead by example motivating team members to work efficiently, with a cooperative spirit, being consistently firm but fair.Ensure staff are cross trained, mentored and encouraged to maximise staff skill levels, offer flexibility and make suggestions for improvements.Supervise and coordinate the daily activities (picking, packing, loading) of the packing staff.Attend routine production meetings and agreeing packing priorities. Planning and prioritising workload to ensure optimal workflow and productivity. Train and develop team members on procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient practices to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.Monitor and enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality control and accuracy throughout.Work closely with Quality to identify and report problems and to assist the Production Manager in setting up procedures to overcome such.Oversee packaging inventory and conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment.Assist the Production Manager in resolving any issues or conflicts that arise within the team and address performance concerns through coaching and mentoring ensuring HR are kept informed.Requirements2 years minimum experience in a team leader, supervisor or manager position.
