An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and tenacious Senior PR & Communications Manager to join the Business Development & Marketing team of one of the world’s leading law firms.

You will be responsible for developing the reputation and brand of the firm in the EMEA region as a firm of choice for premium legal advice and will continue to build on its recognition for delivering exceptional client service across key priority markets and sectors. Directing the media relations and communications function within the business development team, you will work with the Senior Partner and Head of BD to develop the media relations strategy for the London office primarily and also the wider EMEA region and will help to shape, direct and execute EMEA external and internal communications plans. Managing a PR Executive and with oversight of the wider marketing team in London, the successful applicant will be a key member of the global PR team, contributing to and helping to develop global communications campaigns and strategies. Acting as custodian of the firm’s brand, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines in all collateral, the Senior PR & Communications Manager will take the lead role in media relations and crisis management, identifying media profile-raising opportunities and shaping and demonstrating ROI from communications activity. In addition, you will work closely with the BD Director EMEA, US PR Director and Senior Partners across EMEA, to produce and deliver a marketing programme which develops the firm’s brand and also with BD Managers to develop and deliver marketing plans supporting practice groups.

The successful applicant will be a proactive and energetic graduate or equivalent with extensive experience in PR and marketing, ideally gained whilst working in a law or professional services firm, combined with additional experience managing or working in an outside public relations or integrated marketing communications agency. A creative thinker with strong intellectual curiosity and a sound understanding of the ROI mechanisms for PR, marketing and communications, you will be an established public relations professional with established media contacts and sound knowledge of and expertise in current PR trends and tools and of the legal market and how legal firms operate. Enthusiastic and confident, the Senior PR & Communications Manager will need superior project management and communication skills with the ability to be persuasive with senior stakeholders in a complex environment.
