Job Title: CNC Setter/Operator – Day Shift

Location: Gloucester, GL1

Hours of Work: 

• Monday-Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Rate of Pay: £36,000 - £38,00 DOE

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator for a day shift position. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in setting up complex parts across multiple machines and possess a strong background in CNC machining. If you have experience with Haas milling machines and a solid understanding of G codes, M codes, and machining principles, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you.

Duties Include

• Set up and operate CNC machines, with a focus on Haas milling machines.
• Accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings.
• Apply G codes, M codes, and optimise feeds and speeds for efficient machining.
• Ensure the production of high-quality components that meet exact specifications.

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated experience with Haas milling machines.
• Strong ability to read and interpret G codes and M codes.
• In depth understanding of machining feeds and speeds.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Apprenticeship or college graduate.
• Diploma of Higher Education (preferred).
