Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Hard Landscaping & Heavyside Building ProductsIndustry Sector: Landscaping, Heavyside Building Products and Builders MerchantsArea to be covered: North West Home Counties and surrounding area - MK, SG, LU, AL, HP, OX, RG & SL postcodesRemuneration: £35,000 - £45,000 + 25% BonusBenefits: Hybrid Car & Full BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager Hard Landscaping & Heavyside Building Products will involve:

• Field sales role, selling a range of hard landscaping building products including: flagstones, block paving, walling, kerbs, edgings & accessories
• Responsible for an established network of heavyside builders merchant branches (some of the smaller branches will be services from the head office telesales team)
• 80% of your time account managing existing customers, 20% new business development
• 80% branches of nationals such as Travis Perkins and Selco and 20% branches of independent builders merchants
• Anticipated revenue responsibility will be circa £1m-£2m
• Typical order value between £3,000-£20,000
• Managing price increases in line with new company strategy to improve profitability of the business
• Perform sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Hard landscaping & Heavyside Building Products with:

• Field sales landscaping background and sold landscaping products
• Also open to heavyside building materials to builders merchants
• Knowledge of hard landscaping including: flagstones, block paving, walling, kerbs, edgings & accessories would be ideal
• Contacts within builders merchants is not essential
• Proven track record in construction field sales territory management
• Ideally worked for a manufacturer, may consider a builders merchant rep with loads of contacts
• Previous experience of selling into branches of national heavyside builders merchants would be ideal
• Proactive nature, not looking for a "milk round"
