Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, Pro-rata

Paying up to £28k (pro rata for 35 hrs p/w) Based in Rochdale, our client is a highly successful manufacturing business that are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant / Credit Controller to join their busy finance team.

This is a hybrid permanent job opportunity working 4 days per week in the office, and 1 day from home.

THE JOB

Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller, as Accounts Receivable Assistant / Credit Controller your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and resolving queries for a number of large retail accounts
  • General account query resolution and payment chasing
  • Managing inbound customer account related correspondence
  • Posting and allocating payments received

This job opportunity will also cover their busy front of house reception every Friday and during the Receptionist’s holidays.

As Receptionist your duties will include:

  • Answering phone calls
  • Welcoming visitors
  • Dealing with both incoming and outgoing mail
  • Maintaining the meeting rooms and ensuring the meetings calendar is up to date

THE PERSON

The ideal Accounts Receivable Assistant / Credit Controller will have experience of working in a busy finance team and will have in-depth experience of working within accounts receivable and credit control. Experience of using SAP would be advantageous and manufacturing experience would be desirable.

You will need:

  • To be able to interact with people at all professional levels
  • To be able to use initiative and judgement especially regarding key customers
  • Excellent administration skills
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office including intermediate Excel skills (V-lookup’s etc)
  • To be highly motivated for the delivery of accurate and high-quality work
  • To be able to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
  • To be discreet and confidential
  • To be open to self-development
  • To be tenacious, self-starting, and self-motivated
  • To be flexible and adaptable to change
