CNC Setter - Turning

Location: Leicester

Salary: £33,345 per annum

Job Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 2:30pm - 12:30am

Engineering @ 365 is currently recruiting for a CNC Setter on Turning machines on behalf of a leading precision engineering company based in Leicester. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC Setter experienced on turning machines and using Fanuc Control systems to join a dynamic team within an excellent working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operating a Variety of CNC Turning Machines

* Setting a Variety of CNC Turning Machines

* Editing tools on machine according to programs and engineering drawings

* Carry out initial inspection of parts of machine using quality measuring equipment such as micrometres and verniers

* Ensure the work area is clean, organised, and maintained to the highest standards.

* Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

* Be open to training on various machines to enhance flexibility in the workplace.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a busy manufacturing environment.

* Experience in setting and operating CNC machines, preferably working on FANUC control systems

* Previous experience in a precision engineering environment would be advantageous.

* Familiarity with gauging equipment, program proving, and SPC processes. Strong communicator with the ability to work well within a team.

* Ability to identify areas for improvement and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.

* Willingness to train on multiple machines and support team development.
