An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and skilled Band 5 Mental Health Nurse to join a team providing specialist care for children and young people with complex mental health needs. Based in a beautiful manor house, our client offers an exceptional environment for both staff and residents. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be integral in delivering high-quality care while promoting the wellbeing and recovery of patients.
What you’ll need:
- A Registered Nurse Qualification (RMN) and a valid UK NMC Pin.
- A clear DBS check.
- Experience in developing care plans, conducting assessments, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and provide clear information to patients, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism, patience, and compassion.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage a caseload and work effectively under pressure.

Your day to day:
- Patient Care & Safety: Ensure the care, welfare, and safety of all patients is upheld to the highest standards.
- Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough physical and psychological assessments of new patients and create tailored care plans to meet individual needs.
- Daily Care Plan Updates: Regularly update care plans, ensuring they reflect the evolving needs of each patient.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer and accurately record medication as per patient care requirements.
- Collaboration with External Providers: Liaise with external healthcare providers and suppliers to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Staff Performance & Rotas: Monitor and support care staff performance, and ensure efficient staffing rotas are in place to meet the needs of the service.
- Person-Centred Care: Use a person-centred approach to ensure all patients' needs are met with privacy, dignity, and respect.
