Job Description- Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are actively recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in the Burnley area. This role is essential in fostering an engaging learning environment, helping students to thrive both academically and socially. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in supporting children in a school setting and will be prepared to take on various responsibilities, including leading interventions and covering classes in the absence of teachers.

Key Responsibilites-

Supporting students in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis
Effective communication between staff, students and parents
Encouraging positive behaviour and learningPosition Details-

Role: Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8am-3:30pm
Type of work: Temporary
Start date: ASAP
End date: Ongoing
Location: Burnley
Minimum rate of pay: £85 per day dependant on experienceExperience, Training and Qualifications-

Teaching Assistant experience or an equivalent qualification is required
Up to date Safeguarding training in the last year (desirable but training can be provided if necessary)TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related referencesOTHER
