Job Role:

Are you passionate about ensuring top-quality standards in food supply?

In this role, you will support the team to ensure all packing and growing sites meet M&S standards through thorough audits and preparation assistance. This role is pivotal in interpreting changes in audit requirements and establishing new internal processes. Beyond audits, you'll also support the technical and compliance team when needed.

Key Accountabilities:

Independently visit UK Growers & Overseas sites to conduct Select Farm, Start Up, Food Safety, Integrity & Quality Audits, and Audit Close outs.
Understand grower partner operations, support them in meeting standards
Coordinate with commercial teams to schedule and book audits and travel in advance, providing regular updates on audit timings.
Conduct visits and report on-site visits in agreed formats.
Engage with M&S's Audit Management systems and other relevant 3rd Party systems, supporting sites in information submission.
Perform internal audits at UK Packhouses and assist in embedding required changes.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including Managing Director, Commercial Directors, Supply Chain Team, Technical Team, Packhouses, Customers, and Suppliers.Experience:

Minimum 2 years' experience in an audit role within a UK retail food supplier.
You will have a Lead auditor or formal auditing qualification.
Experience of Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury and ASDA produce technical standards
Strategic planning and organisation skills.
Willingness to travel within the UK and abroad.
Strong communication, relationship management, and people skills.
Ability to work calmly under pressure and make decisive decisions.
Excellent time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.Core Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8-5. Flexibility required when travelling, with time rewarded in lieu.
Home-based work with a target of spending 1 day per fortnight in the office.How to Apply
