A leading global insurance and reinsurance provider is seeking a skilled ERM Developer to join their Technology Regulatory Risk & Group Functions team. This permanent role, based in London, offers the chance to work on high-impact applications supporting offices across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.As an ERM Developer, you will develop and enhance scalable, distributed systems to support business growth and drive operational efficiency. You’ll work within the Regulatory Risk & Group Functions Portfolio Team, collaborating closely with cross-functional IT teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions and support. This role combines full-stack development with operational support and provides opportunities to contribute to both new and existing applications.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-performance applications that support user experience and measurable growth.
  • Design new features and infrastructure to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and code quality.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to solve problems and drive system improvements.
  • Provide operational support for existing applications and maintain adherence to company standards.
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with medium-to-large scale software applications.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design and integration.
  • Advanced knowledge of Angular, jQuery, Python/C#, SQL Server, and T-SQL.
  • Strong debugging, optimization, and testing skills.
Desirable:
  • Background in Agile methodologies and project delivery.
  • Experience in the (Re)insurance sector, especially in exposure management and catastrophe risk.
  • Familiarity with natural catastrophe APIs (e.g., AIR Touchstone, RMS) and DevOps tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and Change Management.
