We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our client's team as a Deputy Ward Manager at their mental health hospital, offering an extensive range of services, delivered across various wards. They are able to support adults with acute mental health needs and eating disorders.

As a key member of the nursing leadership team, you will play a crucial role in managing the ward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to their patients.

Qualifications
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification, with a valid UK NMC Pin
  • Proven experience in a senior nursing role within a mental health setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team
  • Sound knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence-based interventions
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make clinically sound decisions
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and the enhancement of nursing practice

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing staff on the ward
  • Assist the Ward Manager in the day-to-day management of the ward, including staffing, resource allocation, and patient care
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop appropriate care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the delivery of care, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of services through participation in quality improvement initiatives
  • Act as a role model for best practice in mental health nursing, promoting a culture of learning and development within the team
