Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Site Manager on a contract basis to be based in Plymouth on an initial 6 month contract with possibility of extension..
As a Site Manager:
· Be able to maintain adherence to high standards of Safety, Environmental, and Quality Requirements.
· Demonstrate construction site management experience, preferably (but not essential) in a regulated environment.
· Be local to or within daily commuting distance of Plymouth and be available to attend site 5 days a week during construction.
· Be CITB SMSTS certified.
The following requirements are desirable:
· Recognised Site Management qualification such as NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or similar
Principal tasks and responsibilities
To ensure the requirements of conventional Health & Safety Legislation are met by compliance with Project procedures.
To ensure a plan of key activities and milestones is followed, which consistently
represents the programme to be achieved for the package
Support the Project Manager / Package Manager in development, monitoring of
progress.
To ensure that effective cost control and monitoring is implemented.
To provide regular reports on progress, for inclusion in the daily diaries and the project monthly report.
To ensure that the work package construction proceeds in accordance with the Project programme whilst meeting the requirements of the Project quality goals and safety case requirements
To identify and manage specifically those areas that represent significant risk to the work package through proactive interface management.
