Location: Worcester
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled Proposals Engineer to join our dynamic team in Worcester. The role will involve interfacing with major national and international clients in the Oil & Gas sector, responsible for the proposal and tender of engineered pump packages. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and experience in preparing proposals for bespoke products.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare proposals for bespoke products by coordinating with Sales and Engineering teams.

* Respond to customer questions and provide timely, accurate solutions.

* Develop cost-effective proposals based on customer enquiries.

* Work closely with Sales Managers to produce sales proposals, including technical product selection, costing, and documentation.

* Serve as the internal point of contact for customers during the bidding process.

* Develop, negotiate, and confirm contract specifications with contractors, end-users, and OEM companies.

* Support sales negotiations and convert opportunities into purchase orders.

* Maintain customer and supplier databases and track proposals through CRM systems.

* Provide detailed order handover documentation for contract engineering.

Requirements:

* Engineering background (an engineering qualification or HNC level education with relevant experience).

* Strong 3D Design / 2D Drafting skills (Solid Edge) and proficient in the Microsoft Suite.

* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within Oil & Gas or process applications.

* Experience in handling rotating equipment supply and tendering engineering packages.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

* Commercially astute with a solid understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
