Description

The Interim Head of Finance is responsible for:

Senior Business Partnering

• Act as a senior finance advisor to divisional senior leadership teams.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Oversee the annual financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and mid-year reviews.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with finance business partners and stakeholders to provide monthly financial information for decision-making and financial oversight.
• Provide high-quality integrated financial analysis on income and expenditure, including trend analysis and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and provide monthly financial reports to support divisional decision-making.

Statutory Compliance

• Support the business to plan, oversee, and deliver the annual audit, implementing auditor recommendations
• Lead financial planning and reporting, overseeing quarterly accounts, yearly audit, and reporting to the board.

Investment Appraisal

• Set guidance and processes for investment appraisal across the division, including business case guidance and financial result follow-ups.
• Provide strategic financial advice and validation for large investment projects.

Team Management

• Nurture, coach, and grow a diverse accounting and finance team.
• Develop team capabilities through proactive performance management.

Profile

You will be a fully qualified Accountant ( ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience gained in a senior leadership position in Finance. You will have experience in Commercial Finance/ FP&A and a broad background to include understanding of year end/ audit responsibilities and liaison.

You will be set up to work 100% remote in the UK, with demonstrable experience of managing a large team.

You will be available to commence this interim assignment in the next few weeks.
