About the Role

As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of forklifts and forklift trucks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of these machines, conducting regular inspections, and providing diagnostic expertise in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Your Responsibilities

Conducting routine maintenance and servicing of forklifts and forklift trucks according to the manufacturer's guidelines and industry best practices.

Responding promptly to breakdowns and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Carrying out diagnostics and identifying faults in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components, then providing effective solutions.

Completing repairs and replacements of faulty parts and components, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Conducting thorough inspections of forklifts to identify potential issues and recommending preventative maintenance measures.

Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient workflow, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety standards.

Providing excellent customer service by addressing client queries professionally and maintaining positive relationships.

Requirements

Recognised qualifications in forklift maintenance or a similar field are essential.

Demonstrable industry experience in the maintenance and repair of forklifts and forklift trucks.

Proficiency in fault finding and diagnostics of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Knowledge of a variety of forklift makes and models.

A valid driving license is required, as this is a mobile role that involves traveling to different client sites.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
