Salary: Depending on experience

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

We are recruiting for a hands on, number driven and experienced Purchasing / Supply Chain professional to manage a small, friendly team and ensure efficient stock levels / on time deliveries.

This creative company have been supplying premium products to customers for over 100 years and are recognised for their eye-catching designs high quality brands.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the first point of contact for any purchasing enquiries - checking pricing, sampling discounts, ensuring goods arrive on time, scheduling deliveries, resolving any quality issues and raising credit / debit notes.

Although you will be managing a team of four, you will be hands on and lead by example undertaking day to day duties such as;

* Ensuring the efficient running and operation of the purchasing team and acting as a point of contact for purchasing enquiries and administration.

* Ensuring pricing is correct for various currencies as they import / export globally.

* Acting as liaison to the sales support office regarding stock deliveries and availability.

* Review of stock levels for new products and best sellers.

* Scheduling deliveries and chasing late deliveries.

* Investigating and resolving product quality issues.

* Supplier quotation and PO management

* New supplier set up.

* Maintaining the databases and logging purchase orders, submits, inventory cards, invoice enquiries, credit / debit notes

Our ideal candidate;

* Previous experience in a purchasing / supply chain position

* Previous experience managing a team whilst being hands on with day-to-day tasks

* Confident with computers including excel (VLOOKUP / Pivot tables)

* A proactive, resilient and enthusiastic approach

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy

* A cheerful and friendly disposition

* A natural problem solver with the ability to identity issues before they occur
