Learning Support Assistant - About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant in this Hackney Primary School, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who may require additional help to access their learning. You will work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pupils to ensure that every child feels supported and motivated to succeed.

This role may involve 1:1 support for children with specific needs, small group interventions, and assistance in creating an inclusive classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting pupils in their learning and helping them stay engaged in lessons.

* Providing tailored support to meet individual needs, including academic and emotional well-being.

* Assisting in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).

* Collaborating with the class teacher and SEN team to adapt resources and teaching strategies.

* Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering self-confidence in pupils.
