Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - £68,000 per annum

City Calling is recruiting on behalf of a leading client for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Greater Manchester. Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through to completion.

* Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements.

* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.

* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and project managers, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

* Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies.

* Prepare and review technical reports, documentation, and drawings for accuracy and completeness.

Required Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, ideally within specific industry, e.g., construction or manufacturing

* Strong technical knowledge in mechanical systems, materials, and processes.

* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and mechanical design principles.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.

* Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential.

* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it is highly desirable.
