As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in managing financial processes, with a focus on building stronger customer relationships and reconciling account queries between insurers and internal systems. While this is a generalist accounts role, your ability to collaborate effectively and work systematically with both business and some domestic customers will be essential to maintaining excellent accounts receivable performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and strengthen relationships with customers and insurers to resolve account queries.
• Reconcile financial transactions and ensure accuracy across internal systems.
• Maintain and improve accounts receivable performance, working collaboratively with customers.
• Handle generalist accounts tasks, including financial record-keeping, reporting, and payments.
• Collaborate with the Commercial Director and a highly experienced accounts team to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.
• Support the company’s growth and succession planning objectives by taking on increased responsibilities over time.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in the insurance sector and/or a similar finance environment (highly advantageous).
• Proven general accounts experience with a strong focus on reconciliation and attention to detail.
• A systematic, detail-oriented approach to resolving queries and managing accounts receivable.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.
• A career history demonstrating consistency and commitment, rather than frequent job changes.
