Our client is now looking for a Technical Designer.

Location: Surrey
As a key member of the design team, you will play a central role in our creative and production processes. We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, translating design concepts into precise technical drawings that meet client specifications while ensuring a smooth workflow through production. The role also involves site visits, surveys, and installation support.
Given the dynamic nature of our industry, occasional additional or out-of-hours work may be required, for which time in lieu will be provided. Our fast-paced environment values positivity, flexibility, and teamwork. Success in this role depends on your ability to collaborate, meet deadlines, and maintain a proactive approach under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop conceptual ideas into detailed technical drawings and presentations.
• Collaborate with project managers, design leads, and fabrication teams to improve efficiency and performance.
• Manage design projects from CAD development to final production.
• Oversee prototyping and support live project execution.
• Conduct site surveys and assist with installations as required.
• Present technical designs to internal teams, project managers, and clients.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and promote sustainable practices.
Required Skills & Knowledge
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD, Fusion 360, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with 3D printing, rendering (Cinema 4D or Keyshot), and machining (desirable).
• Strong understanding of materials, fabrication techniques, and production processes.
• Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical packs.
• Awareness of health & safety standards and sustainable design practices.
