Teacher of English Role Overview:

As a Teacher of English with GSL Education, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of schools, enriching the learning experiences of students across different age groups and abilities. Teacher of English Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, across Key Stage 3 and GCSE. A-Level English teaching experience is desirable.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
• Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, contributing to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.

Teacher of English Requirements:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in English and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings.
• An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check registered to the update service. If you do not posses one, GSL Education will support a new application.
• References that cover the last 2 years of employment. For Early Career Teachers, placements will be accepted.
