AA Euro Group are recruiting a H&S Advisor on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor. Delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. Specializing in highways, rail, utilities, and large-scale earthworks, the company is committed to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Role Overview

As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture across large-scale infrastructure projects. Working closely with project teams, you will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.

* Advise on best practices to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.

* Assist in developing and implementing health & safety policies and procedures.

* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.

* Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions.

* Ensure all site documentation, RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), and permits are up to date.

* Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and senior management to drive safety initiatives.

* Monitor and report on HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

* Qualifications: NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) required; Diploma desirable.

* Experience: Previous experience in health & safety within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

* Skills: Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, risk assessment processes, and HSE legislation.

* Attributes: Proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and ability to influence safety culture.
