Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established company that operates within a fast-paced production environment.

This role will involve both reactive and planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding to minimise downtime and ensure production continuity.
Perform planned and preventative maintenance, including lubrication, safety checks, and component inspections.
Lead and support efficient job changeovers, ensuring they are completed within agreed timescales.
Ensure all equipment and machinery is in safe working order following repairs or adjustments.
Maintain compliance with company health and safety policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including setting procedures and contributing to efficiency projects.
Undertake workshop repairs on various mechanical components and mechanisms as needed.
Proactively identify and order replacement parts through internal stock systems.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth operations and resolving maintenance issues promptly.
Undertake any other reasonable tasks within skillset to support engineering operations.What We're Looking For:

Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer with hands-on industry experience.
Strong background in mechanical maintenance within a production or manufacturing environment.
Good understanding of health and safety within an industrial setting.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and respond effectively to breakdowns.Desirable:

Basic electrical skills (BTEC, City & Guilds or equivalent).
Experience working on rotating shifts
Previous experience with high-temperature, automated, or complex mechanical systems is an advantage.Key Attributes & Behaviours:
