We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client in Derby in the Rail industry.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 to 10 years' experience in a similar role to take responsibility of the day-to-day Electrical Design tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

The Electrical Design Engineer will undertake the electrical design concepts, schematic and wiring diagrams, calculations and engineering documents for Rail Rolling stock/ vehicle & carriage projects
As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide coaching and mentorship to junior Electrical Engineers and check drawings and documents
Attend customer sites for site surveys and provide support including fault finding
Liaise with other departments including Mechanical Design to ensure customer requirements are met

Key Attributes:

Rail industry essential but ideally Rolling Stock/ Carriages/ Rail Vehicle background
8 to 10+ years' experience in Electrical Engineering and Design
Knowledge of Electrical CAD - Ideally SolidEdge or similar
