Orca Recruitment & Training Services Ltd is expanding our specialist Engineering division, and we're excited to invite talented Mechanical Design Engineers to join our team for temporary and contract opportunities.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will collaborate with our current engineering team to create innovative designs and solutions that meet project specifications.

Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer include:

• Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver high-quality designs.
• Produce engineering documentation in accordance with project requirements.
• Develop 3D designs using advanced CAD software.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) to accompany your designs.
• Liaise with colleagues on various engineering tasks as needed.

For the Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:

• Knowledge and experience in Mechanical Design.

• Hold an engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, BSc, etc.).
• Excellent 3D CAD skills.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes, including machining and fabrication.
• You excel both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
