1 to 1 Behaviour Support Role

Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of 1-to-1 Behaviour Support. The successful candidate will work closely with a specific student to provide tailored behavioural support, ensuring they have the opportunity to succeed both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1-to-1 support for a student with behavioural needs, implementing individualised behaviour management plans.
• Assist the student in developing positive behaviours and coping strategies.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and report on the student's progress.
• Help create a supportive and structured environment that promotes positive behaviour.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with the student, their family, and other staff members.
• Support the student in their academic activities, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated.
• Facilitate the student's inclusion in classroom activities and school life.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.

Overview:

• Title: 1 to 1 Behaviour Support Role
• Pay: £83.50 per day minimum
• Location: Caerau, Cardiff
• Hours: Full time/Part time, - Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 3:15 pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a 1 to 1 Behaviour Support Rolet

• Helping bridge the gap for learners where English isn't their first language
• Work in partnership with other members of staff to support the learners in their care
• Supporting the class Teacher with the planning for the lesson
• Support learners individually, in small groups and on a full-class basis
• Engage learners with both classroom and outside-classroom activities
• Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies

The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a 1 to 1 Behaviour Support Role

• Registration as a School Learning Support Worker with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this References covering the last two years (no gaps)
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
