Yard Operative

Location: Daventry

Standard Shift: Monday to Friday (Apply online only)

Hourly Rate: £12.75-£13.25phr

Status: Permanent

Exceptional opportunity to work for a family run business, working with really great people who are hardworking where no two days are ever the same!

* Keeping the yards and sheds tidy - doorways swept and any spillages to be kept to a minimum

* Tipping vehicles into sheds or intake pits and loading lorries with the JCB telehandler. No licence required.

* Previous experience of driving loading shovels advantageous however not essential as full training given. There would also be a requirement to drive yard shunters (HGVs) but no licence required as off public road.

* Setting out aeration ducts in the stores and removing as the shed is emptied making sure to not to damage the ducts.

* Assisting the lab with taking grain samples from the stores and checking grain temperatures.

* Basic lab testing (moisture, specific weight, screenings etc) - full training will be provided

* Basic vehicle maintenance on yard vehicles

* Assisting cleaning in and around the processing plants if required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

* Flexible, adaptable, great work ethic

* Stable employment history

* Ideally experienced within the Agriculture sector specifically grain and hold a valid telehandler or loading shovel licence or similar
