We are working with a reputable secondary school in Hodge Hill, Birmingham, to recruit a Maintenance Assistant. This is a permanent role with a salary of £22,500 - £24,700, ideal for candidates looking to build a career in facilities and maintenance within a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Position Details:

* Hours: Rotation pattern (6am - 2pm and 10am - 6pm)

* Salary: £22,500 - £24,700 per annum

* Location: Hodge Hill, Birmingham

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform general maintenance duties and upkeep of school facilities.

* Carry out minor repairs, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for students and staff.

* Assist the maintenance team with various tasks as required.

Requirements:

* Strong maintenance skills, ideally with experience in a school or similar setting.

* Applicants who have recently completed an apprenticeship in a trade or have good handyperson skills are encouraged to apply.

* A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
