Project Manager - Thurrock

My client is a bulk liquid storage provider operating terminals strategically placed across the UK. They currently require a project manager to be based permanently at their site in Grays, Essex.

Role:

* Lead multiple sustaining (M&R) and growth CAPEX projects on terminal assets.

* Ensure the safe delivery of projects that meet agreed objectives and key results, within authorised budgets and to agreed schedules.

* Responsible for all stages of development and implementation of several projects and/or engineering works at various locations at any one time.

* Ensure that all work is safely executed and in full compliance with company standards and UK/European legislation.

* Ensure compliance with procurement, management of change and commissioning and handover procedures.

* Ensure engineering and project management procedures are followed.

* Manage engineering projects as required by the business including; the production of design calculations, drawings, specifications, programmes and budgets, procurement, installation and commissioning.

* Available on mobile to provide engineering advice 24/7.

* Attend site out of hours, if available, for critical project activities.

* Any other tasks that may arise in the day-to-day functionality of this position.

* Ensure suitable input received from terminal management team for all engineering and maintenance work.

Requirements:

* A relevant engineering degree or similar.

* External accreditation with a recognised project management methodology (PMP/Prince 2)

* Experience as a project manager, managing multiple brownfield modification projects on process, chemical or petrochemical and COMAH sites.

* Experience managing project teams.

Salary/Package:

* £65k-£70k per annum DOE.

* Pension 5% (you) - 9% (employer)

* 25 days + 8 BHs annual leave increasing by one day per service.

* Life Assurance x 4 annual salary.

* Christmas bonus - 1 week salary.
