Building Safety Manager

An innovative and prestigious Property Management company that is committed to delivering market leading solutions and professional services are currently recruiting for a Building Safety Manager. As the Building Safety Manager, you will be contributing to the vision to be recognised as the market leading provider of services to the UK's property sector.

Location: Remote - travel once a month to one of the offices (Luton, Torquay, New Milton, Worcester)
Salary: up to £70,000 per annum plus £5,500 car allowance

Main responsibilities:

* Leading a ring-fenced multi-disciplinary team on the remediation of buildings with identified safety defects through various funding routes such as government funding as well as developer funding

* Providing high-level operational and strategic business planning and thought leadership to ensure the Building Safety team provides high quality customer, client and colleague experience

* Lead and manage the development of the Building Safety Cases

* Be responsible for and manage the departmental budget ensuring financial targets

* Creating and implementing improved risk and governance controls across the Building Safety team and regularly reporting on the same to the Building Remediation Steerco, as well as clients

* Engaging with all stakeholders including developers, clients, insurers, project managers, local Government and on some occasions customers to deal with escalated issues

* Ensuring each project is managed and progresses, in accordance a scope of services that you will pre-agree with clients

* You will always have regard to the relevant provisions of the leases and the wider legislative requirements

* You will be directly responsible for liaising with clients, finance, operations and third-party consultants for whom you will be responsible for appointing

* Contribute to the strategic delivery of various projects within the building safety team on behalf of various clients, as required according to the Building Safety Act

Skills and experience required:

* Detailed knowledge of building safety legislation and subsequent requirements

* Robust people management skills and extensive leadership experience gained in challenging situations

* Led, managed and overseen building safety cases

* Budget and financial responsibilities

* Project Management skills obtained from a formal qualification (Prince2, Greenbelt) or having had significant experience of such processes
