Location: Cambridge (covering Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and Wisbech)
Pay Rate: £24- 25 per hour (via Umbrella CIS)
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Temporary with the possibility of going permanent

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join the team of an established FM company on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for a permanent contract. This position will cover Cambridgeshire, including areas such as Peterborough and Wisbech. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the installation, servicing, and maintenance of electrical systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Install, service, and maintain electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.

*

Carry out installation, repair, inspection, and testing of electrical installations and provide the necessary Electrical Certificates or Electrical Condition Reports.

*

Perform EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) and conduct remedial upgrades as required.

*

Work in partnership with other operatives to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.

*

Arrange the purchase of materials necessary to carry out the work in a planned and efficient manner.

*

Operate in accordance with the company's occupational road risk policies and procedures.

*

Record and submit accurate data using relevant business systems and electronic devices.

*

Use a PDA smartphone to communicate with the Repairs Planning team and colleagues, providing updates on progress and completion information for your allocated work.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as an Electrician with relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).

*

Familiarity with The IET Wiring Regulations and up-to-date knowledge of electrical standards.

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

*

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

*

Full UK driving license

*

Experience using PDA smart devices for daily communication and reporting is desirable.

*

A flexible approach with the ability to work across multiple locations.
