Our Client
Our client is a leader in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) solutions, committed to delivering innovative projects that support the national infrastructure and enhance community buildings. We are currently recruiting for an MEP Project Manager on their behalf and this role will be to work on a project in the Reading area. You will need to secure high security clearance and hold full rights to work and UK citizenship for this PM position due to the sensitive nature of the projects.
The Vacancy and its Responsibilities
As the MEP Project Manager, you will be accountable for:
Delivering the business strategy and objectives for your tenders while exceeding key success measures
Managing commercial and business risks to meet targets
Understanding relevant commercial terms and conditions for each project/tender
Proactively managing customer relationships during both tender and delivery phases
Promoting a culture of Zero Harm and driving continuous improvement across safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ)
Collaborating effectively to ensure optimal resource utilization and targeting the best opportunities
Demonstrating clear leadership and fostering positive team dynamics
Supporting operational teams through active listening and encouragement
Working closely with Contract Managers and the Executive Leadership Team to achieve strategic objectives
Planning and managing project delivery within agreed cost, timeline, and quality parameters
Instilling a strong safety culture and encouraging personal responsibility within project teams
Managing client expectations on a day-to-day basis while highlighting the value provided
Your Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in the management and delivery of M&E projects
Strong people management skills
A proven track record in tendering and managing complex projects, including oversight of subcontractors
Commercial awareness with knowledge of budgetary and financial control
Excellent relationship management skills
The ability to navigate ambiguity and lead cross-functional teams toward solutions
Salary and Package
£70-75K plus excellent package
