Insite Public Practice Recruitment is seeking a Senior Risk Management Consultant on behalf of a confidential client. The role involves leading client engagements, managing projects, and developing consulting propositions with 8-10+ years of experience in risk management and governance, particularly within the insurance sector. The successful candidate will also be responsible for business development, marketing initiatives, and coaching the Consulting team. Desirable skills include exposure to various insurance sub-sectors, risk management qualifications, and experience in business development.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Lead high-quality client engagements, ensuring exceptional analytical skills and stakeholder management.
  • Manage projects to budget, profitability, and specifications.
  • Build and maintain key client relationships, anticipating needs to drive opportunities.
  • Contribute to their consulting offerings as a subject matter expert.
  • Develop and articulate their unique market differentiators.
  • Network and manage relationships to generate leads.
  • Own and deliver client proposals and business development activities.
  • Lead high-quality marketing and brand initiatives, including thought leadership.
  • Role model high-performing team behaviors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Consulting team.
  • Manage and delegate work, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Experience and Attributes

Technical Skills and Experience

  • 8-10+ years in risk management and governance, particularly in the insurance sector.
  • Expertise in enterprise risk management, including frameworks, risk appetite, and capital modeling.
  • Practical experience in designing and embedding risk management practices.

Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to various insurance sub-sectors and banking.
  • Risk management qualifications (e.g., IRM).
  • Programming skills.
  • Experience in business development and sales.
