About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Product Owner to join our dynamic CRM team within a purpose-driven organisation, focusing on seller operations globally. As a key player in this team, you will leverage your Salesforce expertise to drive innovative CRM solutions that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and deliver substantial value to our business and its customers.
In this role, you will shape and implement the Salesforce product roadmap, bringing new product ideas to life using Salesforce solutions. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams to simplify complex issues, address customer pain points, and align business objectives, resulting in scalable, impactful Salesforce-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Salesforce Roadmap: Lead the development and ongoing management of the Salesforce product roadmap, working closely with CRM team members and engaging with business stakeholders.
- Product Backlog Ownership: Build and prioritise a Salesforce-focused product backlog, adapting to changing business needs and organisational priorities.
- End-to-End Development Oversight: Manage all Salesforce development stages, from initial scoping and discovery to design, development, testing, and support.
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to capture, interpret, and document business requirements for Salesforce solutions, creating user stories and detailed process maps.
- Salesforce Solution Design: Drive the design of Salesforce solutions that enhance business processes, leveraging Salesforce's functionality to address complex business challenges.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Salesforce developers, QA teams, and Business Analysts to ensure that delivered solutions meet requirements and fulfil business objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate requirement gathering sessions, system demonstrations, and user acceptance testing with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Prioritisation and Risk Management: Lead prioritisation discussions with the SCRUM Master, managing risks, escalating issues, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- User Coaching and Support: Act as a coach for champion users, empowering them to leverage Salesforce capabilities and maximise value.
- Ongoing Support and Communication: Provide production support for Salesforce, collaborating with technical teams to resolve user issues and ensuring clear communication of solutions.
- Lifecycle Management and Performance Reviews: Oversee the Salesforce product lifecycle, conducting regular health checks to ensure continuous performance improvement and alignment with business needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Salesforce Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, with specific experience in Salesforce within a large-scale enterprise, preferably in eCommerce or marketplaces.
- Salesforce Certifications (Desirable): Certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, or Salesforce Certified Sales/Service Cloud Consultant are advantageous.
- Business and Technical Acumen: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, with a deep understanding of Salesforce's CRM capabilities.
- Analytical and Data-Driven: Proven track record of using data insights within Salesforce to address business challenges and enhance decision-making.
- Effective Communicator: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels and facilitate alignment across teams.
- Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working within Agile environments, with the ability to lead prioritisation sessions and manage backlogs.
- Organisational Influence: Strong influencing skills, adept at building consensus among leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Proven Salesforce Solutions Experience: Experience working in large technology organisations or with eCommerce giants such as Amazon, eBay, or Google, and a track record of delivering impactful Salesforce solutions in similar environments.
