Progress Teachers are working closely with a local mainstream secondary school to appoint an experienced Behaviour Mentor to provide practical and pastoral guidance for students with challengig behaviours and SEMH needs.

Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, implementing tailored behaviour management strategies.

* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement behaviour support plans.

* Monitor and assess student behaviour, identifying triggers and implementing proactive interventions.

* Organise and lead workshops or training sessions for students, staff, and parents on behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.

* Act as a liaison between the school, parents, and external agencies involved in behaviour support.

* Work closely with the school leadership team to contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour policies.

Qualifications / Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field.

* Proven experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role in an educational setting is highly advantageous.

* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support strategies.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

* Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to behaviour support.

* Certification in behaviour intervention or related field is a plus.

* A valid DBS on the Update Service OR be willingness to obtain
