Salary: £25000 - £30000/annum

Changing Lives Housing Trust's top priority is to help people who're experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. It is also to provide safe accommodation for our clients, to support them through hard times and help get back on their feet and to guide those who need an extra step towards a better future.

Duties and responsibilities for our Project Worker's:

* To understand the issues facing homeless people especially those who are marginalised

* To carry out client risk assessments, support plans, action plans and key work sessions which identifies and meets the clients needs

* To work together to ensure the provision of a high quality service to clients, which enables them to develop the skills necessary for independent living

* To be actively involved in staff meetings and training courses

* To carry out property visits under your management and document each visit in detail

* To be responsible for the day to day running of the client's homes, ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met and responsive to repair/ maintenance issues

* To maintain accurate and timely record keeping, maintaining & using systems/ logging all electronic data

* Manage antisocial behaviour and resident grievances in line with service user disciplinary procedures

* Liaise with senior managers to ensure complaints, queries and concerns are addressed within a timely manner to participate in care plan reviews as required

* To promote and encourage client participation in the Intensive Housing Management process and to act as advocate for clients when necessary

* To carry a caseload in respect of the Intensive Housing Management work

What we're looking for:
Experience:

* Experience of working in an office environment or minimum of 6 months working in a similar setting

* Experience of working with customers internally and externally

* Experience of working with external agencies and other professional teams and working in partnership with other agencies to achieve effective outcomes

* Evidence of support work experience and knowledge of working in a housing/ health care setting

* Experience & knowledge of the benefit system

* Awareness of health and safety requirements

* Experience of work with vulnerable individuals

* Customer Service qualification or other relevant qualification

* Knowledge and experience of QAF Standards and Supporting

* Integrity, sensitivity and understanding

* Approachable, adaptable and assertive

* Able to cope under pressure, manage time to meet deadlines and ability to use own initiative

* Proficient IT skills, including Excel and Word and basic keyboard skills

* Managing complex & difficult situations in relation with people Customer, client focus & managing diversity/ equality

* Good Productivity & Interpersonal skills - including phone communication

* Ability to, prioritise and manage conflict

Other:

Mandatory DBS Checks - Valid remain to leave documentation/ Visa (If not from the UK) - Identification (Passport/ Birth certificates etc) - National Insurance number - Drivers Licence, and ability to drive a vehicle where applicable
