Electrician Job Description

Inspire Resourcing Ltd are recruiting for a Electrician on a permanent basis to work for this highly reputable engineering company who's head office is in Mansfield. They are looking for the suitable candidate to cover East Anglia.

This is an excellent opportunity for those with 3 years' experience who want to become Electrician or for those who already have experience of being Electrician or similar supervisory role.

Duties to include: -

* Performing Inspections: Regularly inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.

* Diagnosing Problems: Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions and identifying the root causes of issues, whether they are reactive or part of planned maintenance.

* Repairing Faults: Carrying out repairs on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.

* Responding to Emergencies: Reacting promptly to emergency calls and resolving electrical issues to minimise downtime and maintain safety.

* Collaboration: Working closely with other members of the maintenance team, as well as with engineers from other disciplines, to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve complex issues.

* Communication: Maintaining clear and open communication with stakeholders, including colleagues, supervisors, clients, and contractors, regarding maintenance activities, progress, and any potential issues.

* Any other duties assigned in line with the scope and seniority of the role

* Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring that all maintenance activities adhere to relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements.

* Implementing Preventive Maintenance: Following scheduled maintenance plans to perform routine checks, servicing, and replacements to prevent breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of electrical equipment.

* Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and tests, to track the performance and condition of electrical systems over time.

* Emergency Response Planning: Participating in the development and implementation of emergency response plans to effectively handle electrical emergencies and minimise risks to personnel and property

To apply for the role of electrician you will ideally:

* Specific skill-based qualification to level 3 or above, OR, have 5 years field-based experience

* Experience of 3 phase systems / equipment

* 18TH edition

Desirable:

* Ideally an NVQ or equivalence in the core role

* Have additional field based skill qualifications

* 2391 Test and Inspection

* Health & Safety First Aid (3 day)

* Confined Space Trained.
