Employment Solicitor (3+ years PQE)

A highly respected and forward-thinking law firm in Edinburgh are currently looking for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their successfully ranked team! 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide legal advice on employment aspects of various transactions, including corporate and outsourcing projects.
  • Address daily employment-related inquiries, managing disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Oversee collective matters such as redundancies and integration. 
  • Offer guidance on trade union matters and represent clients in tribunal litigation.
  • Independently manage a diverse caseload while also assisting with complex cases, supported by a collaborative team.
  • Ensure high-quality client service in both contentious and non-contentious matters, dealing with employers and employees alike.
  • Engage with clients directly and remotely, attending tribunals and courts as necessary.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and maintain compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in employment law.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively advise and represent clients in employment tribunals.
  • Skilled in identifying critical issues and performing thorough legal merits assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills, capable of prioritising and multitasking efficiently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling numerical data.
  • Confident in making decisive, well-judged decisions.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, and ideally experienced with case management systems.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a keen ability to assess risks.
