The Talent Set are excited to be working with a prestigious health institution who are looking for a creative Digital Content Officer.
As the Media Officer you will play a key role in promoting the brand by utilising effective communication and working with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media statements, and briefing materials for senior spokespeople.
- Respond promptly and accurately to media inquiries, often under tight deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets across print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
- Proactively pitch stories and secure media coverage for key campaigns, initiatives, and events.
- Provide clear and concise messaging, offering strategic advice to senior leadership in high-pressure situations.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure messaging is aligned and consistent across all communications.
Person Specification:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content under pressure.
- Experienced in a health institution or health related charity.
- Extensive experience working in a fast-paced media and communications team.
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality media relations and communications services.
- Experience building relationships with media outlets and successfully placing stories in regional and national press.
- Skilled at identifying opportunities in the news agenda, handling reactive queries, and managing reputational risks.
- Ability to write accurate, engaging, and SEO-optimized content for digital channels that is accessible, persuasive, and drives website traffic.
