As part of the business’s continued growth, we are delighted to be working in partnership with them to recruit a Mechanical & Electrical Assembly Engineer to join their existing production team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a skilled assembly and service engineer, which will eventually progress into a Field Service role.

Mechanical & Electrical Assembly Engineer

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 – Depending on skills and experience

Working hours: Monday – Thursday 7am -3:30pm, finish at 1pm on Friday with every other Friday off.

The Role:

• Assembly, inspection and testing of components and complete systems incorporating mechanical, electrical and pneumatic mechanisms
• Carrying out cable preparation (crimping and soldering) and testing
• Handling and assembling precision components
• Working from engineering drawings, but must have the ability to trouble shoot and raise any issues if they arise
• Assembly of precision and high-value mechanical assemblies
• General housekeeping and workshop duties, ensuring the workplace is clean, tidy and safe at all times
• Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures

Skills & Experience:

• Basic electrical skills are essential for the role
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings
• Previous experience of assembling precision mechanical and electrical assemblies
• Must be dexterous due to assembly of small, intricate components
• Keen eye for detail
• Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
• Must be a team player, you will be joining a small friendly team
• Must be open to occasional travel – worldwide
