Job Description:
We are seeking a Logistics and Materials Operative to ensure the smooth movement, storage, and management of materials on-site. This critical role involves operating forklifts, organising storage areas, maintaining the yard, and adhering to safety standards. The Logistics and Materials Operative will be responsible for stock checks, yard organisation, and supporting deliveries while upholding high standards of quality and safety.

Main Responsibilities:

* Transport materials and WIP safely across the site using forklifts.

* Load/unload delivery vehicles and maintain secure, organised storage.

* Conduct sporadic stock checks and track inventory movements.

* Manage the yard, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and efficient vehicle movements.

* Ensure proper waste management, including hazardous waste streams.

* Adhere to health and safety guidelines, perform pre-use checks on equipment, and report maintenance needs.

Skills & Experience:

* Qualifications: Valid forklift license (counterbalance).

* Experience: Material handling, logistics, or yard management experience is beneficial but not required.

* Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
