The Role

As the Financial Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic decision-making. You will have the support of a part time finance administrator and external accountants but overall, this is a hands-on role with responsibility for all aspects of financial management for the business including financial governance, transactions and reporting.

• Providing financial support to stakeholders including reviewing commercial terms; ensuring appropriate statutory reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and analysis
• Cash and stock management, including cash forecasting, stock control and payment and payroll processing
• Responsible for all financial transactions (to include intercompany), reconciliations and supplier management
• Ad hoc financial projects such as transfer pricing, due diligence support and company structuring
• Negotiating renewal terms with service providers for insurances, company cars, healthcare and IT
• Significant exposure at board level and frequent communication with PE shareholders

About you

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post qualification experience in technology, logistics, project or manufacturing sector
• Experience in a SME with an appreciation for the broad skillset, flexibility and versatility that this requires
• Experience of intercompany and statutory reporting ideally across multiple jurisdictions
• A confident communicator to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external investors
• Hands-on working knowledge of Xero, advanced Excel and ability to review complex legal and contractual documents
