Salary: £55000 - £60000/annum + £5k car + travel or to £310/day

Our busiest client in 2024 who are a multi-dimensional MEP-led Principal Contractor, have recently secured a new data centre project in Gloucester and are looking to build a team in the region from January 2025. As a business they work across a range of project sectors which include data centres, education, commercial, healthcare and science & technology in and around London, SE and surrounding home counties with a real focus on critical infrastructure. Their services start from design, through construction and fit out to the maintenance of the projects, effectively offering an end-to-end solution.

The project involves the fit out of a fallow space in a live Datacentre for the telecoms sector. As it's a live environment the work is to be completed without any interruptions. The scope of works includes creating a new white space, replace existing generators with new, instal new Electrical LV (Switchboards and distribution) & HV infrastructure along with diversion of existing supply along with new mech equipment (chillers).
The Internal fit out consists of steel frame, modifications to the existing building, install of louvres, raised access floor and new mezzanine floor install.
M&E covers Mech cooling, AC, Fire Protection, BMS, Containment, PDU's, Cabling and Comms.
The programme runs through to May 2026 with a project value of circa £12m.

Electrical Site Manager duties:

* Report on all Health and Safety issues and demonstrate H&S Leadership and on-site monitoring of all team members and Contractors

* Manage and oversee the on-site construction team, including Electrical and external Contractors

* Ensure Sub-contractors work to the programme

* QA inspections of installations and problem solving

* Carry out financial forecasting to manage budget, costs, profit and risk

* Compile project RAMS and ensure they are updated as the project progresses

* Manage supply chain, plant, materials and logistics

We are ideally looking for candidates with data centre experience, but also open to applicants with experience of critical infrastructure in other live environments (hospitals, pharma, critical plant). Qualifications include HND/HNC or Degree, SSSTS, SMSTS, Black CSCS, First Aid and Driving Licence
