A well known organisation based in the centre of Hull is looking for a Management Accountant to help bolster the current finance team.Both temporary and permanent staff will be considered.Flexible start/finish times available to suit your circumstances and a fantastic opportunity to build your career with a vibrant team.Your main duties will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports as required
• Controlling income and expenditure within the business and ensuring that expenditure is in-line with budgets
• Support month end and year end reports and processing journals (income and expense accruals, prepayment and deferred income)
• Working closely with Financial Controller to advise strategies / actions that will reduce the operating cost and /or advise the management on the financial implications of projects carried out
• Working closely with Financial Controller to develop and oversee financial systems and procedures and identify opportunities to improve these
• Act as audit liaison
• UK VAT return and liaison with VAT agents in respect of EU VAT registrations
