Do you have experience as a handy person/fabric technician in a commercial office environment? Are you interested in working for a leading FM service provider? Want to work as part of a vibrant, high performing team in state of the art offices? This could be the role for you!

My client are looking to take on a permanent fabric maintenance engineer for a static site they maintain in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the building fabric in 3 commercial offices - each within 1 minute walk of each other.

Responsibilities

Painting & decorating
Basic carpentry - doors, fixtures, skirting
Fitting furniture
Changing locks/handles
Lamp changes
Basic plumbing - drainage, flushing, tap temperature readings, unblocking toilets, leak detection
Basic electrical - portable appliance testing, changing lights, installing new sockets
Basic mechanical - cleaning/changing filters on HVAC systems
Patch repairs
Assisting/shadowing electrical/mechanical engineers
Liaising with facilities managers to react as issues arise and to solve problemsRequirements

Previous commercial maintenance experience
Strength in basic carpentry, plumbing, and patch repairs (essential)
Electrical or mechanical knowledge (desirable)
Can-do attitude/mindset
