Role purpose for Management Accountant:

The Management Accountant's main responsibilities will include a lead role in the preparation of monthly engineering management accounts and presenting these in monthly reviews with engineering/program teams.

Duties & responsibilities for Management Accountant:

* Analysis of monthly business figures

* Fixed and variable cost analysis

* Cost centre budget tracking

* Annual business planning and interim forecast updates

* Project risk assessment and profitability analysis

* Support business reporting to stakeholders

* Participate in month end close process

* Maintain integrity and consistency of expense recording

* Respond to queries from business departments

* Costing of motors and components in SAP

* Analysis of material price variances

* Analysis of production order variances

* Improve quality and depth of business reporting

* Share learnings with colleagues

* Document processes and procedures

* Continuous review of tasks and improvement of processe

Qualifications & experience for Management Accountant:

* Degree in Finance, Business or related studies and a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICA or CIMA)

* Experience of SAP production accounting and costing

* Minimum 3 years of experience in a Management Accounting role

* Knowledge of MS Office products with a high proficiency in MS Excel

* Strong communication skills

* Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems

* Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
