iO Associates are seeking for a Store person & Shipping Administrator to work with a leading UK-based manufacturer specializes in advanced electron microscopy sample preparation, offering innovative, reliable instruments for global research and industry.
The job includes receiving, storing, selecting goods, packing instruments and spare parts, and setting up courier pickups for subsequent delivery to end customers are the main responsibilities of this store-based position. You will be in charge of the physical inventory, making sure that stock correctness is always maintained (ie, all transactions involving physical stock match those using the system) ensuring that all actions are conducted safely and that the stores and goods inward/department areas are kept clean.
Required:
- 3 years or more of experience working in an atmosphere of high-value electro-mechanical manufacturing stores.
- Familiarity with computer-controlled stock control systems and MRP.
- Familiarity with cycle counting, stock rotation, and stock handling procedures.
- Experience with lean concepts and procedures.
- Holder of a counterbalance forklift truck licence.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving supplies, kits, and merchandise from vendors and clients while comparing documentation with pending orders.
- Timely transaction of items into the ERP system in accordance with the proper orders.
- Work with the buyer to process deliveries that are damaged or inaccurate, separate non-conforming products, and set up a return to the supplier.
- Products are received and dispatched to and from vehicles using a Counterbalance forklift truck.
- Using third-party IT systems, schedule and reserve courier collections for subsequent distribution to end users (eg DHL, UPS, FEDEX/TNT).
