R Recruitment is seeking a skilled Steel Fitter to join our construction team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will assist in the assembly, installation, and repair of structural steel & Architectural metalwork and frameworks. This role involves working closely with steel fitters to ensure that projects are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the layout, assembly, and installation of steel structures, including beams, columns, and trusses.
• Install as a team together
• Valid CSCS Cards are required
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform fitting tasks.
• Prepare and clean work areas to ensure safe and efficient work environments.
• Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from lead fitters and site supervisors.
• Perform quality checks to ensure work meets specifications and standards.
• Help transport and position steel materials and components.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining tools and equipment in good working order.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a steel fitter or in a related construction role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy materials.
• Familiarity with safety standards and practices in construction.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Working time:

Monday- Friday 10hrs shift

Saturday 6hrs shift
