Pertemps Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Miller / Turner Programmer, Setter, Operator (Fanuc control) to their innovative manufacturing team in Hemel Hempstead. Paying an attractive salary of £43,134 plus benefits. You'll be working on both conventional CNC Lathes and cutting-edge CMZ twin-spindle mill/turn machines, collaborating with Planning, Quality, and other departments to develop efficient manufacturing processes. This role will require expertise in producing precision components for both prototype and repeat projects.Key Responsibilities:
• Program, set, and operate Takisawa CNC Lathes and CMZ Mill/Turn machines using Fanuc controls (G & M codes), FAPT, and Manual Guide-I.
• Maintain precision tolerances typically within ±0.025mm (+/- 0.001”), with occasional requirements as fine as ±0.0125mm (+/- 0.0005”).
• Record accurate job timings in the company's ERP system (Javelin) by scanning jobs in/out.
• Uphold 6S standards on the shop floor.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization.Qualifications & Skills Required:
• Previous experience in aerospace or a similar high-precision industry.
• Proficiency in Fanuc control machinery programming (G & M codes), FAPT, and Manual Guide-I.
• Knowledge of Edgecam software preferred.
• Expertise in machining materials like Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Nylon, and Aluminium.
• Strong ability to maintain tight tolerances (±0.025mm, occasionally ±0.0125mm).
• Either apprentice-trained or qualified by experience.Key Behaviours:
