Job Specification: Head of Supply Chain

Join a growing business as a senior manager in supply chain operations. This greenfield role offers a unique opportunity to restructure and build a team in an exciting, dynamic environment.

Main Purpose: Oversee logistics operations, ensuring efficient management from sourcing product to final delivery. Optimise processes, manage transportation, and coordinate with suppliers and customers to maintain quality and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies focusing on cost reduction, efficiency, sustainability, and customer service excellence.
  2. Transportation Management: Oversee transportation operations, manage relationships with freight carriers, and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
  3. Warehouse Operations: Optimize storage, inventory management, and distribution processes.
  4. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with Trade, Finance, and Quality Departments to align logistics with sourcing and demand forecasts.
  5. Customer Service: Implement best-in-class customer service protocols and identify new engagement opportunities.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
  7. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, implementing just-in-time practices.
  8. Data Analysis: Utilize logistics data to analyse performance metrics and inform decision-making.
  9. Strategic Cost Management: Identify projects to reduce overall costs.
